Preventing fuel theft
For commercial vehicles fuel theft, especially on overseas trips, is a significant threat facing fleet managers. Vektor can help prevent this theft by continuously monitoring the level in fuel tanks, either from the CANBUS or with externally-installed fuel level sensors. All refills as well as drains are recorded on the system, which can automatically alert a designated manager in case of fuel drainage.
Improving fuel efficiency
Fuel efficiency depends on two main factors: the vehicle’s mechanical condition and driver behavior. Now both of these factors can be monitored – and controlled – by using Vektor’s remote diagnosis module. Not only can you receive reports on average fuel consumption, but also an in-depth analysis of the reasons for above-average fuel consumption. Moreover you will be notified if your vehicle is due for a scheduled maintenance, or if it has any malfunctions which may prevent fuel consumption from peak efficiency. In order to maximize fuel efficiency, driving patterns which increase fuel consumption – like speeding, over-revving, fast acceleration and excessive idling – are analyzed by the system to evaluate the driver and recommend improvements on driving habits.
